The Method Live @ The MMP Magazine Launch

The Method

The Method are the genre-defying, internationally renowned collective, who’s only constant is the 5 members that make up the band. The powerful rhythm section backing their garage-indie sounds, combines with soul bass grooves, psych vocal harmonies, brass and percussion to build a veritable carnival of a show!

Richie Hayes began it all when he left his Dublin home to travel the World, bringing back an ability to take such eclectic tastes as The Coral, Kasabian, The Sonics, and The Specials, to create a style of song writing that pays tribute to them all, whilst being completely original. Having this art form defined, he looked for the band to help spread it. He soon found the powerful, dance-able drumbeats of Andrew Sanders, and paired it with Matthew Pasternakiewicz’s percussion, trumpets, keys, and practically any other instrument that lay near him. The guitarist-sized hole was filled when the enigmatic Johnny Alchemist stumbled onto The Method’s radar, and before long, the bassist known as Kieran Sandom completed the collection.

The songs have become much more than mere compositions, instead becoming living innovations that vary with every performance. With microphones dotted around the stage, the energy and enthusiasm of every member gives the audience an inescapable feeling of witnessing music in its purest, most emotionally raw form. With incredible hooks, infectious melodies, and the harmonious anarchy that comes with their live performance, it is little wonder that The Method have become infamous, supporting such acts as The Anomalies, DC Fontana, The Moles, The Infomatics and Operator Please.

They recently went into hiding once more, looking for a producer crazy enough to capture their latest offerings. Luckily, the former 60ft. Dolls’ drummer Carl Bevan stepped up to the mark, and with a debut album all but finished, they head out once more to tour the UK and Europe, infecting the continent with a feverish desire to dance and sing the nights away.
